TenX goodness

So there’s probably been 1000 posts about this but I recently got a TenX card and I freaking love it.

Literally paying for my lunch, all sorts of random shit with BitCoin so easily. I dunno why it feels weird and awesome but it does. This is what I hope the future is more like.

can the US government legally stop people from using Bitcoin as money? Wouldn't this be against freedom?

I just want to understand this a little more going forward. As far as I understand it's up to us as we the people to decide what we want to use as money. No government can say " you are not allowed use bitcoin because we don't think it's really money" when the individual does think it's money than it is, because that's up to us to decide, not any government.

Is there anything in the constitution that protects this? Will we have any backbone to stand on and protest if need be if the government tries to say this is not money and you aren't allowed to use it?

I've tried speaking to some philosopher thinkers about bitcoin and honestly I'm dumbfounded with how illogical they truly are when it comes to the tech. Most of them can see how Bitcoin fits into liberalism although bitcoin fits in for everybody other than banks really. And most of them think Bitcoin has no chance to succeed because of the US government. But what can the US government really do? Isn't it up to us to decide what we use as money? I can straight up say I don't believe a dollar is a dollar anymore and I rather use bitcoin, can the US government actually stop me legally? Or can I fight it?

Auto send an email on receiving a payment

I am selling videos for Bitcoin and using a payment gateway that sends me an email shortly after a confirmed payment. The email contains the email address of the buyer that just paid in the message body.

What is the best way for me to automatically do the following:

  • Trigger: receiving an email from the BTC payment gateway
  • Read / parse the buyer email address from the email body
  • Compose and send a new email containing a link to the file to the buyer

Note that I'm ok for the emails to be based on pre-defined templates, as long as I can intermittently update the file templates to change the URLs.

I am interested in options either on the cloud or Android. Preference is also to use gmail if possible, but if not I'd be open to using another email provider. A final option could be to write an application that polls a mail server, but that sounds like a lot of effort and would only run when the desktop app is open so isn't ideal.
